Multi-Currency Introduction
This section is for aggregation merchants only.
Overview
By default, your Moyasar account accepts payments in Saudi Riyal (SAR) only. Multi-currency lets you accept payments in additional currencies on top of SAR.
Currently supported currencies

- AED
- BHD
- KWD
- QAR
- USD
Multi-currency is not enabled automatically. To start accepting one or more of the currencies above, contact your Moyasar representative with the list of currencies you need.
Settlement is always in SAR
No matter which currency a payment was made in, Moyasar settles it to your bank account in SAR. You do not need a bank account in any other currency.
The amount is converted to SAR using an exchange rate set by Moyasar. This is a fixed rate configured by Moyasar, not a live market rate, and it includes a foreign exchange margin. Read more about how settlement works in general in Settlement Introduction.
Refunds
Refunds are issued in the same currency as the original payment. Because the conversion to SAR happens at settlement time rather than being locked in at the moment of the original charge, the exchange rate applied to a refund's settlement can differ from the rate that applied to the original payment's settlement.
Fees
Processing fees are based on the payment method and card scheme used, not on the currency of the transaction — the same fee rates apply whether a payment is in SAR or in another supported currency. The foreign exchange margin mentioned above is a separate charge that only applies to the conversion into SAR.
API usage
No new endpoint or integration is required. Send the currency you want to charge in using the existing currency field on the payment request, the same way you would for SAR. Webhook payloads are unchanged and already include the transaction currency.
Payment methods
Multi-currency is currently available for card payments (Mada, Visa, Mastercard) only.
